The single row bird netting system works very well with dwarfs or smaller fruit trees where there is room between the rows, because it is much easier to manage. The other advantage with single row bird netting is it can be used in conjunction with rain or hail tarps on the same infrastructure.
The use of hail tarps is a huge advantage to your crops as the results are later ripening and a much larger percentage of number one, extra large cherries. Growers using this method have experienced a vastly greater percentage up to 60% of extra large, number one cherries in their yield.
