Bin Trailers

CRENDON bin trailers are available in various versions to suit the user's requirements and have models ranging from the basic two wheeled version through to the BIN RUNNER.

Orchard Three Wheel Three Bins

The 3 wheeled model is the most preferred trailer. It has the capacity to carry three standard square bins. The advantages of this configuration are: Trailers can be towed with a 4 wheel bike. Bins are kept as low to the ground as possible but are still able to negotiate uneven surfaces. The trailer can be moved by hand on concrete or hard surfaces, while fully loaded. A guard behind the front wheel prevents mud splashing into bins. The first two bins can be loaded from either side of the trailer while the last bin is loaded from the rear. A smooth ride and flotation is provided by 14" tyres.A drawbar hitch on the rear allows several trailers to be pulled in tandem.

Orchard Two Wheel Three Bins

This two wheeled version holds 3 square bins and has the following advantages: The trailer can be reversed easily if working in confined areas. A large standing platform is provided in front of the first bin and between the second and third bin, thus giving comfortable access to all bins when emptying picking bags. A smooth ride and flotation is provided by 14" tyres. A drawbar hitch on the rear allows several trailers to be pulled along in tandem.

Orchard Two Wheel Four Bins

This two wheeled version holds 4 standard square bins and has the following advantages: Bins can be closely stacked together, making it ideal for mechanical harvesting of grapes, potatoes etc. This trailer has fully covered steel floor, making it suitable for general trailer work. A smooth ride and flotation is provided by 10R 15" tyres fitted to Land cruiser hubs. A drawbar hitch on the rear allows several trailers to be pulled along in tandem.

Vineyard Two Wheel Two Bins

This two wheeled version holds 2 X 750kg Grape bins and has the following advantages: A standing platform is provided between the first and second bin, thus giving comfortable access to all bins when emptying picking buckets or spreading out grapes from a harvester. The first bin can be loaded from either side of the trailer while the end bin is loaded from the rear. Deflectors are mounted in front of wheels to eliminate reduce to end trellis post if the trailer hits it. The single pole draw bar allows tight turning. A smooth ride and flotation is provided by 14" tyres.

Bin Runner

The New 2006 Bin Runner is a very versatile trailer, capable of picking up, transporting smoothly and unloading bins fast and efficiently.

To pick up bins in the orchard the Bin Runner is lowered and aligned so that the frame slides under the bin. Chains move the bin forwards while the Bin Runner is reversing.

Unloading is even easier. Bin Runner is lowered and then driven forward while the chains are moving backwards, gently unloading.

The new strong floor chains have a rounded top and do not damage or chafe the wood or plastic bins.

Transporting of bins is very gentle (even on rough roads) because of the smooth ride given by the rocking tandem axles. These rocker wheel pivots now have self lubricating polyethylene bushes.

Bin guides now full length & adjustable in with and attached to main chassis line bin centrally whilst loading. The axle assembly can be unbolted from the frame to allow compact transport.

The Bin Runner has large skids which aide easy pick up of bins on soft ground while the chains remain clean. Also prevents damage to hot-mix while loading & unloading.

Two powered bin latches prevent bins from slipping off while loading or transporting. When unloading, these latches are automatically disengaged.

Bin Runner is highly manoeuvrable when mounted to the front of the tractor, which is the standard set-up for use in orchard conditions. Headlands only need to be 7 metres clear to enable Bin Runner to efficiently pick up bins.

Bin Runner is proven to be a cost efficient because the one unit picks bins up from the packing shed, distributes them in the orchard and then returns to the packing shed with full bins even with distances of 2km to travel it eliminates the need for trucks, tractor forklifts and tractor with 3PL forks.
